Currently working in the Midwest Brooke Smits' work focuses  on a combination of documenting time and place, depictions of life experiences and mind sketches,  with commissioned pieces.

Using a range of mixed media Brooke is currently interested in experimental work that depicts diverse experiences and  nature. Additionally, Brooke is interested in the intersection of arts practices in collaboration with  mental health support and rehabilitation that promotes mindfulness, introspection and skill  development, while undertaking residence at the Laneway Studios in Geraldton, WA.
